LIMA Monitoring
If passive interception is required, an interception solution includes LIMA Monitors. Receiving their input from a passive wiretap, these systems analyse the data stream and extract the required information. LIMA Monitors support the common protocols encountered in mobile and fixed telephony network such as DHCP, Radius and GTP.
Besides control information, passive monitoring can also be used to intercept the content of a data stream. LIMA can monitors IP streams up to 10 Gb/s, extracting the data of a target from the unfiltered stream of packets.
For passive monitoring in PSTN of Mobile networks LIMA supports telephony protocols like SS7. The scalability of a LIMA solution allows for small scale interception limited to a few E1 or T1 links, or country wide installations where 1000's of links are monitored in parallel.
Deep Packet Inspection is a specific sort of passive monitoring supporting sophisticated targeting of traffic based on a broad range of specific protocols used on the Internet today.
