Group 2000 offers the turn key solution for Corporate Data Retention at your premises. The Data Retention solution build on the proven modular LIMA Lawful Interception concept. The open architecture provides a reliable, flexible and cost effective Data Retention solution. This architecture allows  the necessary addition of the  required interfaces. Therefore, the Data Retention solution comes with many standard adapters. It also reuses the available infrastructure as much as possible.

Part of the LIMA architecture is a retention store which can be delivered as part of the solution. It is also possible to interface with an existing data store or a third party storage solution. Data retention needs a reliable storage solution.  Group 2000 applies proven Sun and Oracle technology for the implementation of retention store. This technology provides a flexible choice of capacity up to many Tera bytes of storage. On line and off line storage can be combined as desired including archiving and backup facilities.

Integrated Management System

LIMA has an integrated management system for lawful intercept surveillance. This system contains modules for both Lawful Interception and Data Retention. The data retention module provides an integrated environment to manage all data retention related warrants. It will manage the data retention requests throughout the network. Besides the support for the administrative handover HI-A interface and Retained data handover HI-B interface, additional modules are available for  reporting and billing purposes

Cost effective

Although data retention has no return on investment, a reliable solution is required to meet legislative requirements. Not meeting these requirements can lead to penalties and worst case the withdrawal of the operator licenses. On the other hand, the open technology of the retention store allows the operator to use the retention store for other purposes, like reporting and statistics.
