SIMM video platform

SIMM is Group 2000’s deployment platform for multi media services. It supports voice, video and messaging services and is ideally suited for the integration of these technologies into a combined service.

With SIMM, existing applications can be extended with video support. New video services can make use of SIMM’s extensive support for integration of third party systems, such as prepaid billing systems, credit card charging systems and network equipment like HLR’s

The carrier grade aspects of the SIMM platform, which have proven their value in various installations at network operators, also applies to its video support. This makes the platform suitable for large scale video deployments.

New technologies require new services. The SIMM platform supports a number of service out-of-the-box:

Service Creation

Creation of video services is done via a high level drag-and-drop interface or with low level programming API’s. The choice for the right tool depends on the customer and service.

In general Group 2000 delivers turn-key applications. Changing requirements however require that services must be adapted during their lifecycle. To prevent customers having to develop programming skills, a user friendly interface is provided for configuring those aspects of the service that are important for our customers. If required our customers can take over the maintenance and adaptation of services themselves.
